TEENAGERS SHOULD READ MORE
Yesterday, I saw a documentary where two people, a boy and a girl that are probably in their 15' s, were talking about if students should read more or not. The boy said that he didn' t enjoy reading because in his opinion it' s boring. He also said that reading it' s innecessary. The girl said exactly the opposite. She said that she enjoys reading a lot and for her, reading is the best way for relaxing. Apart from that, she also said that teenagers should read more. I agree with the girl that teenagers should read more but I' m a teenager and I don' t read because I don' t like it. I only read when it' s obligatory for an school project or something like this because in my daily life, I never read. I think it' s very boring, like the boy that appeared on TV, but this isn' t an excuse. My teacher told me that I don' t enjoy reading because I haven' t found a book I really like yet.
Firstly, teenagers need a motivation to read, and I think that it' s very difficult to persuade them to read. Almost all the teenagers apend the 24 hours that a day has with the mobile phone, and they even also take their mobile phone for going to the toilet! That' s so exaggerated...
Secondly, some teenagers probably don' t read because they can afford buying books or an EBook or also because their town or village haven' t got a library.
Finally, in conclussion, I think that people who enjoy reading and think that teenagers should read more, this people have to persuade them to read, I mean that they have to give teenagers arguments to read, for example: "Reading is a good way for relaxing", "reading is very interesting", "if you read you' ll learn a lot"... So, come on people and convince them!
